01Items are placed in CLPS containers
Your team places found items into CLPS-provided bags, boxes or containers kept in a secure location on site.
This gives staff a simple, consistent way to handle found property without needing to manage the full lost property process themselves.
02Containers are sealed for collection
When items are ready for collection, your team seals the bag, box or container and contacts CLPS.
This creates a clear handover point and helps protect the integrity of the property before it leaves your site.
03CLPS collects from your site
CLPS collects the sealed containers and transports the property to our secure warehouse.
This removes lost property from your premises, reduces storage pressure and saves your staff from ongoing item handling.
04Items are processed under CCTV
At the CLPS warehouse, items are processed in a controlled environment under CCTV.
Each item is registered, photographed and recorded in a structured way so it can be searched, reviewed and matched more effectively.
05Items are stored securely
CLPS holds items securely for the agreed retention period, which may be several months depending on your organisation’s policy.
This removes the need for your team to keep, organise and monitor lost property on site.
06Claims are reviewed by CLPS
When a claim comes in, CLPS reviews the claimant’s information against the stored item record, photographs and supporting details.
This helps reduce customer service workload and gives claimants a clearer route to recover their property.
07Ownership is verified
Before an item is released, CLPS checks that the claimant can reasonably verify ownership.
This helps reduce the risk of property being returned to the wrong person and supports a more accountable process.
08Courier return is supported
Once ownership has been verified, CLPS supports the owner’s chosen courier delivery option.
This gives claimants a practical way to recover their items without adding extra work for your team.
09CO₂ removal is documented
CLPS operates as a net zero service and works across its operations to reduce environmental impact.
Where applicable, CO₂ removal certificates can be provided for CLPS operations and client lost property activity, helping support sustainability reporting and environmental accountability.
